Auxiliary membership is open to everyone 18 years of age and older! Members of the IWK Auxiliary volunteer our time to raise funds in support of important Health Centre initiatives and countless comfort and care items for patients and their families. We fund everything from toys to research and everything in between! The IWK Auxiliary has touched so many lives and is delighted that you are considering becoming part of this invaluable part of the IWK Health Centre.
The IWK Auxiliary’s two major fundraising projects are Biggs and Littles Gift Shoppe, the gift shop located at the IWK, and the annual Kermesse Fun Fair, which is a much anticipated community event. These projects require a great deal of organization and volunteer effort. As a member of the Auxiliary, we would like you to become actively involved in one of these projects or perhaps one of our smaller projects. We often hold sales in the Health Centre where we sell raffles, cookbooks and so much more, so your help would be much appreciated. We are looking for new ideas and new projects and welcome you to plan a special project that you would enjoy.
The IWK Auxiliary is a dynamic organization. There are many opportunities for you to meet new friends, learn new skills, and become involved in an environment that allows you to develop your talents, wherever they lie. The possibilities are limited only by your enthusiasm. We encourage you to join us in making the IWK Health Centre a better place for women, children, youth and families.
Please click here to download an application form. If you have any questions, contact the Auxiliary Office at 470-8918 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Once you submit your application form, you will be contacted to set up a personal meeting in order for you to learn more about the Auxiliary and the role you will play as a member.
New Auxiliary group established: Calling all those under 45!
The IWK Auxiliary has introduced an exciting new group – a new “Under 45” chapter! This group has been formed to seek young, enthusiastic members, and will host various new events and reach out to the community. This is a great opportunity for young professionals to get involved with the IWK and their community. What better way to develop a professional portfolio than supporting a valued Maritime organization and have fun doing it!
